Winter in Alpharetta

I suppose that I've fallen into the Facebook trap that I've long criticized: Facebookers assume that the once something is posted on Facebook, it's "out" and the entire world knows about it. Gone are the days of (no, not telephone calls, not letters, but...) the mass email announcements. Have you noticed how years ago people sent emails out to everyone they knew, with news and often pictures just as a "here's where we are and what we're doing"? How many have you received one in the last year or two? Few or none, if you're like me. Mass electronic communication has gone the way of blogs and Facebook. Sadly, even I overlooked our blog, opting for the ease of Facebook in the last few months.

So, if there are any of our friends and family who happen to follow this and haven't heard yet, we're pregnant! Again! We're expecting our third bundle of joy in September, and don't plan to find out what it will be until we meet him or her face to face. I've been absolutely exhausted for a couple of months, but am now officially 14 weeks along and thus in my second trimester, so hopefully I'll be pulling out of my fog soon. I'm starting to show a bit and the kids are extremely excited! Brooke really wants a little sister; Bridger smiles and says, "Bridger big brother!" and "My baby come to my house!" Brooke has been sweet to ask me how tired I am and how my tummy feels, and if it's not a positive response, answers "Baaaabbbyyy!!!" with a knowing grin. We're excited, too, especially as we were hoping and planning for another one. Life will be very different in the fall, as Brooke will start kindergarten, Bridger will begin preschool (in the older MW 2's class, where Brooke began), and Brad and I will be outnumbered!

As a side note, my sister Amy is expecting twins -- a boy and a girl -- also due in September! I won't pity my fatigue too much, bearing in mind that she'll have three kids under the age of two in addition to working to full time. My hat is off to you!

Here are some catch up pictures to share from the last few weeks:

A few years ago I made two resolutions: Never to complain about aging or rain in Georgia. I was challenged on both with some aches and pains and all of this past year's flooding and "cold" weather, but I kept them! A good and unexpected outcome of this past year's crazy weather patterns was the prettiest snow that I've seen in my 10 winters here:

Watch out, Mommy!

Does anyone else see something wrong with this picture?

Or this one?

Proof of the aging, too! No complaints here!

Tunnel time!

And finally, proof that we're in good spirits around here. Go, Cats! (And yes, I know the logo is upside down, but it was either that or having it backwards to the visible side of the street....)
